With the bilateral agreement signed, SMM will have responsibility to uplink to the satellite so that the organisers can only provide broadcasting signals to the station on the ground but uplink will be done by TV rights holders SMM. In terms of the technical part, SMM will have to negotiate with different networks to download from satellite.

“It’s my great pleasure to sign a contract with SMM. SMM is one of the well-known multimedias in Thailand and I do hope that with the signed contract between the AVC and SMM, the wide spread international distribution of the TV rights and satellite coordination as well as marketing will be markedly improved from now on. The AVC and SMM will work together closely. Although daunting challenges await us, I believe that with good cooperation among us, the future of TV broadcasting activities now looks brighter than ever,” AVC President Dr Saleh A. Bin Nasser said in his speech during the contract-signing ceremony.
